Dbanj welcomes new son Daniel

Music superstar Danj and his wife Didi Lineo, have welcomed their first child. Dbanj took to his Instagram handle on Friday to share the first photo of their baby – a son named Daniel Oyebanjo III. According to media reports, Dbanj, an entrepreneur and TV host, is currently in the USA where Didi delivered their baby. In 2016, the singer reportedly held a secret wedding with his girlfriend Didi, at a low key ceremony both in Lagos and Abuja. 
Dbanj in a recent comment had said that his marital status was no body’s business. Dbanj shares picture of first son’s hand “My marriage is my business and it is none of your business. Whether I am married or not, mind your business. If you ever see a wedding ring on my finger, fine, but if you don’t, fine.”

Children’s Day: FIDA wants Judiciary, security agencies enforce laws.

The International Federal of Women Lawyers (FIDA) on Saturday called on the Judiciary and security agencies to enforce the implementation of laws protecting children in the country. Mrs Inime Aguma, the Country Vice President of the association, made the appeal in a statement to commemorate this year’s Children’s Day in Abuja.

 According to her, the Federal and State governments needs to look into the rights of children with the view to addressing the issues. “Nigeria has enacted the Child Rights Act, 2003. We call upon those states that are yet to enact state Laws in line with this Act to do so.

 “Those states that have Laws protecting Child Rights Act in place must ensure effective implementation. “It is necessary as a country, signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, 1990, and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child, 1999, to ensure that the rights and welfare of our children,” she said. Pastors fight, go to court over land deal (photos)

A pastor at Life in Christ Ministries in Norton, Blessing Chemera, has been dragged to court for allegedly duping another pastor in a botched residential stand sale deal. HMetro reports that Pastor Chemera allegedly duped Pastor Douglas Mugadza of $1400 (about N527k) in a botched residential stand sale deal. Mugadza who is a pastor at Covenant Faith Ministries was said to have known Chemera from the Bible College. L-R: Mugadza, Chemera 35-year-old Pastor Chemera was arrested and taken to the Harare Magistrates’ Court and charged with fraud.

The state counsel, Lovemore Siamunda alleged that sometime in September 2016, Chemera approached Mugadza saying he was selling a stand in Phase 17. Reports are that Mugadza expressed interest in buying the stand and paid the said amount towards the purchase of the said piece of land. My wife beats me up every time - man tells court

An Ibadan Customary Court sitting in Mapo on Friday, May 26, has dissolved a marriage of 20 years over domestic violence. NAN reports that the cup got filled up when Kudirat Adekola stabbed her husband, Abideen, with a broken bottle.

 The President of the Court, Mr Ademola Odunade, said he dissolved the marriage between Abideen and Kudirat Adekola “in the interest of peace and order’’. Odunade said that it was inconceivable that a wife could be so bad to the extent of stabbing her husband with a broken bottle. 

“The custody of four out of the five children is hereby awarded to Abideen, while Kudirat is allowed to go with the last, who is still a minor. Abideen shall, however, pay a monthly feeding allowance of N5,000 for the upkeep of the last child,” said Odunade. Narrating his ordeal, Abideen, a civil servant, said that his wife enjoys beating him up.

Osinbajo, governors accuse Jonathan of sharing N2bn ecological fund among only PDP states

The ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has been accused of sharing N2bn Ecological Fund among PDP states - The NEC’s interim report revealed that 19 states, including Abuja, are yet to benefit from the one percent share of the Ecological Fund as stipulated by law - Governor Nasir El-Rufai said the committee established beyond all doubts that in 2013 ex-President Goodluck Jonathan gave N2bn to certain states of the federation but excluded other states

JAMB Possible 2017 Cut Off Marks for Nigeria Institutions - Check it Here

Most candidates having received their 2017 JAMB results must be wondering their chances of securing admission this year.
At this stage, one of the important things you need to know is the possible cut-off mark of you school of choice for 2017/2018 admission.

The cut-off marks denotes the minimum JAMB score you are required to have to be able to participate in the admission screening exercise for your school of choice.
This will enable you to know if you qualify for your school admission screening and equally help you determine if you need to go for JAMB change of course and or institution.

NairaBet agent kills self over N600k winning

An unnamed agent of NairaBet, a sports betting platform, has killed himself after he could not pay a customer who allegedly won a N600k bet.

The Punch reports that residents of Obadeyi Ajala woke up on Wednesday, May 24, to find the remains of the young man dangling from a rope in an uncompleted shop at Ajala bus stop, on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. 

A resident, Monday Gabriel, told our correspondent on the telephone that the girlfriend of the deceased, who fainted the moment she saw his remains, gave an account of what could have prompted him to kill himself. He said: “I was going to my workplace around 8am when I saw people around three uncompleted shops in Ajala bus stop. The world’s most senior twin sisters have clocked 100 years old. Their birthday celebration was characterised by a photo essay. Paulina Pignaton Pandolfi and Maria Pignaton Pontin are reportedly the oldest twin sisters alive, which makes them very special. To celebrate their 100th birthday in style, a Brazilian photographer, Camila Lima, captured spectacular photos of the twins. “I felt that these two are very special and therefore deserved something very special as they celebrate their 100th birthday. My gift to them is this cute photographic essay,” says the photographer.
